Following the tragic news of Telltale Games cutting it’s employees and shutting down that shocked those involved and players alike, many have spoken out including someone who’s been along for The Walking Dead ride since its start.
Clementines voice actress, Melissa Hutchison, penned a heartfelt letter expressing her shock and sadness at the unfinished journey of the character she’s portrayed for since the series was originally released back in 2012.
“I, unfortunately, like most of you, do not have the details on how this all came to be and I also do not know the fate of the final season of TWD. To my knowledge, they will release Episode 2 and then that will be it. It hurts me that you, the fans, will not get to see Clem’s journey through to the end.”
It seems that no one was prepared for or expecting the closure of Telltale, not even their lead actress. While the fate of Clementine’s story hangs in the balance, there have been rumors flying around about that final skeleton crew and whether or not it really means The Walking Dead will in fact end prematurely.
Hutchison closed her letter with heartfelt words directed at the fans and her love for the community that’s grown around these beloved games.
Hello friends. I am so very deeply moved by the messages of love that I, and the folks from @telltalegames have been receiving. Yesterday was one of the toughest days ever.
