This week in the UK Gaming Charts we have plenty of new entries, however, none quite manage to topple Codemaster’s latest title, F1 2018.
F1 2018 continues to take the lead in the UK Gaming Charts holding off big hitters such as PES 2019. Konami’s title misses out from the top spot by only a small margin (250 units) while F1 2018 has a pretty good second week with only a 49% drop in sales – which isn’t as bad as it sounds.
Interestingly PES 2019 has placed much higher than last year’s entry, PES 2018, however, sales are 40% lower. This is likely due to the hit that Konami took earlier this year when they lost the license to the Champion’s League – which of course landed in FIFA 19’s hands.
As for last week’s title which sat in second place, Shenmue 1 & 2 actually dropped pretty dramatically down to thirty-third place with an almost 90% drop in sales.
In terms of new releases, Yakuza Kiwami 2 lands in fifth place, followed by Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate in ninth. PSVR title Firewall Zero Hour landed just outside of the top ten in eleventh place. Rebellion’s Strange Brigade lands in sixteenth place. Finally, there’s Divinity: Original Sin 2 which debuts in twenty-third place.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has also risen from eleventh place to seventh this week, likely due to the anticipated launch out of Game Preview on Xbox One later this month.
