Activision and Treyarch have released the first in a series of comics that are set to further explore the Specialists found in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 might not have a campaign mode, but it does have a comic! This ten issue comic series is set to dive deeper into the worlds of each of the game’s Specialists.
The comics are available online for free and are written by Greg Rucka, Chris Roberson, Jeremy Barlow, K.A. McDonald, Aaron Duran, Matthew Robinson and Tony Shasteen. They also feature cover art from artists Adam Hughes, Eric Wilkerson, Kirbi Fagan, Dan Dos Santos and Julian Totino Tedesco.
The first three issues are available to download via the game’s website and focus on Ruin, Prophet, and Crash. Other comics in the series are expected to land in the coming weeks.
I suppose it’s good for those wanting to explore the back stories of each of these Specialists, though I struggle to see anyone really wanting to find out more about this collection of disposable heroes. But that’s just my opinion.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is expected to land on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 12.
