A couple of years ago, there was chatter suggesting we’d be getting a live-action Netflix series based on the classic The Legend Of Zelda. The series was meant to be a family-friendly Game Of Throne… a weird sentence to write.
Obviously, nothing came from this and we continued to be plagued by the actual The Legend Of Zelda cartoon from the 90’s. Thankfully, the rumor mill’s been spinning away via our friends at The Wrap. According to their source, the Castlevania producer, Adi Shankar, has allegedly been in talks to make The Legend Of Zelda.
How The Wrap have actually come to that assessment is yet to be seen, as all the public actually knows is that Adi Shankar is working with an iconic Japanese developer, but he’s been very clear not to sneakily drop a hint as to what it could be.
Shankar’s Instagram post explains that he’ll be set to announce what the series is on the 16th of November.
Thankfully, if Shankar’s next project is The Legend Of Zelda or even another Nintendo property, it’s almost definitely going to be decent, considering the rave reviews that Castlevania got for its first season.
It’s unclear if this potential The Legend Of Zelda Netflix series is going to have anything to do with the original live-action series, but I suppose we’ll find out soon enough.
