Earlier this month Mega Man 11 graced our consoles and PCs. Now, it seems that Capcom might have more planned for our favorite Blue Bomber, if the rumors are to be believed.

Going off a report from Rockman Corner, supposedly a Steam database page for the newest Mega Man installment has received an update. While this might not seem like much, the page now features a new developer, 8ing. While that name might not mean anything to some of you, 8ing has done quite a few projects for Capcom in the past. Fans of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Marvel vs Capcom: Fate of Two Worlds, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom might recognize their work. They have yet to work on a Mega Man title, however, if this new listing is real, it seems that they have recently had a hand in some element of Mega Man 11… we just don’t know what that is yet.

Capcom has yet to release a statement regarding the updated database Steam page, nor have they mentioned anything about new levels or content for Mega Man 11. The only additional content they have announced and discussed is the “Wily Numbers Instrumental Tracks”, which have yet to release but should soon. That all being said, with the holiday season ready to descend upon us, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think Capcom has something planned for a Christmas/ New Year content release.

So, IF Capcom is planning new content for Mega Man 11, what exactly would that content include?? Obviously the most fitting answer would be new robot masters with their own levels. A group of them, 3-4, released for the new title would drastically increase the games replay value. While that sounds the most enticing, new modes is also a strong possibility, and we’ve seen them do it with previous Mega Man games (looking at you Mega Man 9 and 10). A new playable character would also fit and, again, it wouldn’t be the first time Mega Man has done this. Zero was a great new playable character and is easily one of the most memorable parts from the Mega Man X universe.

However, all of this is pure speculation and should be treated as such. While new content for Mega Man 11 might sound exciting, all we can do is wait and see what Capcom has up their sleeve, if anything.

Mega Man 11 is out now for PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, check out what we thought of the game in our review!
