At MINECON Earth this weekend, Mojang announced a brand new Minecraft spin-off title, Minecraft: Dungeons, which is set to hit PC in 2019.
Minecraft: Dungeons is a standalone Minecraft title that’ll have players crawling dungeons. It’s being described as “an all-new action-adventure game inspired by classic dungeon crawlers” and will have players discovering new weapons and items as they take on waves of “new-and-nasty mobs”.
As the game is set in the Minecraft universe players can expect the same blocky aesthetic as the classic sandbox title but this time with a little more direction. Players can explore dungeons solo or co-operatively with up to three other friends.
That’s pretty much all we know about the game other than its launch window and platform. Minecraft: Dungeons is expected to land sometime in 2019 on PC.
