The long-awaited TITANS will be the next live-action DC project to Bam, Zap, Kapow on to our screens and mobile devices. Outside the U.S, TITANS will be coming October 12 via Netflix.

TITANS is based on the Justice League of America’s sidekick spin-off Teen Titans, which debuted in 1964’s The Brave and the Bold #54 and originally consisted of Kid Flash (Wally West), Robin (Dick Grayson), and Aqualad (Garth), the current in-print line up is Starfire, Raven, Kid Flash (Wally West II), Robin (Damian Wayne), and Beast Boy. This series seems to take its main inspiration from the run of stories by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez from the 80s New Teen Titans comic book series… Don’t trust Quake!!

“Really, the DNA of it is in the echo of the original series, cause it had so much drama in that and it was so revolutionary for its time,” Writer-Producer Geoff Jones said. “We really wanted to lean into the idea that every Titan of these Titans is a doorway into another genre. With Rachel [a.k.a. Raven], it’s the supernatural and the horror, and the first season really focuses on who Raven is and how the Titans galvanize around her. You can see that tone in the trailer clearly.”
