Jagex announced at RuneFest this weekend the launch of a limited members-only beta for RuneScape Mobile which will begin today.

This weekend Jagex’s annual RuneFest took place and was the biggest yet. During the event, announcements came through thick and fast including when players will be able to get their hands on RuneScape Mobile.

While Old School RuneScape Mobile is set to land on iOS and Android on October 30, players of RuneScape 3 have been eagerly waiting for that version to also arrive on mobile. While Jagex didn’t have a date for its full release, RuneScape Members will have a chance to get hands-on with the title with a limited beta.

This beta will allow RuneScape developers to work closely with the community to deliver the best experience on mobile over the coming months. Eventually, the beta will be opened to more players before finally launching on iOS and Android.

When the game does launch, much like Old School RuneScape Mobile, players will be able to continue their adventure on their mobile devices thanks to cross-platform play.

Members can register interest in the members-only RuneScape Mobile beta via the game’s website.
