Square Enix has revealed that their upcoming cinematic adventure game, The Quiet Man, will have a version with sound, once players have completed the game.

The core idea of The Quiet Man is for the entire game to be… well… quiet with little in the way of audio or subtitle. However, once players have played through the game once they’ll be able to experience the title with sound, as well as music from Imogen Heap.

Initially, the game will be silent, however around a week after release an update will arrive which will add the optional second play through.  This info was revealed in another playthrough of The Quiet Man.

Following this, Square Enix sent out a press release revealing that Grammy award-winning artist Imogen Heap will be lending her talent to the game with a new track titled “The Quiet”. Further details are expected to be revealed later this year.

While The Quiet Man’s core concept is for players to interpret the story themselves, the second playthrough is set to reveal the “true” story. What are your thoughts on the optional second playthrough? Let us know in the comments below.
