Microsoft and Crytek have this week added three Crysis games to the Xbox One backward compatibility library.
The latest titles to be made backward compatible on Xbox One is three games from the Crysis series, Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3. The first two titles were released on the Xbox 360 back in 2011, with the third title landing in 2013.
In the game, players take the role of a member of the United States army who’s equipped with a new type of technology, nanosuits, which are essentially exoskeletons which gives the wearer abilities such as invisibility and strength.
The original title was also the spawn of the early PC gaming meme of “Can it run Crysis?” which essentially meant that those who could, had a pretty high-end PC for the time.
This is of course just three of the many titles Microsoft is working to get backward compatible. The company ultimately wants to get every Xbox 360 title backward compatible on the Xbox One. You can check out the full list over on Major Nelson’s blog.
