Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish’s latest comedy, Night School, has managed to pull in an impressive opening weekend, keeping Warner Bros.’ latest animation, Smallfoot, at bay.
One thing you can always guarantee when there’s a movie starring Kevin Hart is that the little funny man will be everywhere you look. The guy hustles, and it’s inspiring. It must work too as his latest comedy, Night School, managed to pull in an impressive $28 million on its opening weekend.
This is apparently on par with Hart’s previous movies, each of which have performed a little poorly in their second week, so we’ll have to see how next weekend fairs for Night School.
Warner Bros.’ Smallfoot managed to pull in around $23 million which is right around expectations. Last week’s number one, however, The House With A Clock In Its Walls, dipped around 53% with $12.5 million, putting the movie at an estimated $45 million after just ten days.
A Simple Favour is still doing well for itself bringing in $6.6 million over the weekend making its gross a little over $43 million. Though what’s really pulling punches is The Nun which sits happily in fifth place pulling in $5.4 million now totaling an estimated $109 million.
Finally, the newest entry into the top ten is horror thriller Hell Fest, which pulled in a little over $5 million. Though as we enter Halloween month, this number could grow as people are looking for a fright.
Here’s the weekend top ten:
- Night School (2018)
- The House With A Clock In Its Walls
- A Simple Favor
- The Nun
