Streaming giant Netflix has just revealed that The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina will be getting a special Christmas episode airing on December 14.
The episode will centre on the Church of Night’s celebration of Christmas, when families gather to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. It should make for quite a fun and interesting episode to explore how the demonic side and Christmas come together.
After a great run on the first series, it seems Netflix is hoping to capitalize on the momentum of the show’s success by announcing a Christmas special to many fans delight. Personally, I also felt that the show came as a pleasant surprise on first watch and gave off similar vibes to the likes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Charmed when tackling certain social issues or even the practical monster make-up, which is sorely needed in a time of flooded CGI films/shows.
Let’s hope that the recent controversy surrounding the show and their battle with the real Satanic Temple lawsuit doesn’t get in the way of our binge-watching Christmas goodness! I’m looking forward to a more weirder, darker season 2 on the way next year to fill the void of my morbid appetite.
