During a Devil May Cry 5 live stream, Capcom showed DMC’s favorite devil, Dante, going head to head with a number of otherworldly demons and showcases the wide array of move-sets and abilities that will help you to further progress in the game. Dante will allow the player to mix up intricate combos whilst also maneuvering easily and fluidly through his arsenal of classic weapons and new additions.
The Son of Sparda keeps his mainstay Ebony and Ivory dual pistols, Rebellion sword, and Coyote-A shotgun, showcased in the trailer below, and at times will switch between his classic gear to newer and highly lethal weapons such as the ‘Balrog’, a Devil Arm made for melee combat, brimming with the sealed power of the king of FireHell and the ‘Cavaliere’, a heavyweight weapon born of materials infused with demonic power. It’s spinning wheels in motorbike form are heavily bladed and sharp for grinding foes to bits in seconds, or you can even hold it by the handlebars like a pair of epic twin swords, think Final Fantasy only bigger!
The Q&A/showcase stream with developers Hideaki Itsuno, Matt Walker and community manager Matt Edwards lasts just over a hefty hour long watch but straight from end to finish they answer many fans burning questions all the while giving you a 45min – 1hour footage of playable Dante in action running through a broken world and slaughtering waves of demons, it’s well worth the watch below:
Personally, I’m very excited to get my hands on this next sequel to such a great franchise, the gameplay looks amazing, the graphics are at an all-time high that I’ve ever seen in the series (I bet the PC version’s visuals will look amazing) and it seems they’ve definitely gone back to their roots with this one.
