How cool would it be to have a way to spawn a Treasure Goblin during your Diablo 3 session? Well, thanks to some data miners it seems that that might just become a reality.
Thanks to a post by data miner JustMaku on Reddit it seems that the upcoming Switch version of Diablo 3 will, in fact, receive amiibo support. While this might not be surprising, it is certainly exciting.
Apparently, this alleged data mine has revealed several amiibo types. Among them is support for a Demon Amiibo, a Treasure Goblin, along with support for other “non-Diablo” amiibo.
The Demon Amiibo will spawn a powerful demonic enemy, while the Treasure Goblin amiibo will apparently spawn a portal which, and this is purely speculation, will transport us to some shiny goodies.
While the cooldowns, along with this confirmation in general, have yet to be revealed, it is expected that the Demon amiibo will only require around a 45-minute wait before players can use it again. Obviously, the Treasure Goblin won’t be as easy to exploit with it’s expected cooldown being a once per day use. These, of course, still have the chance to be tweaked by Blizzard if need be.
Thankfully we shouldn’t have to wait long for this confirmation as Blizzcon 2018 is right around the corner.
