When a franchise reaches its eleventh title, it’s fairly safe to assume that it’s a good franchise. To prove that theory, Square Enix has revealed that Dragon Quest 11 has reached over 4 million sales worldwide between both physical and digital versions.

The latest installment of the beloved series launched back in July and has seen very positive reviews. Though, as positive as this is it’s estimated that 3.2 million of the units sold were in the games home country of Japan. This, of course, leaves only 800 thousand sales in the West. This said, reaching 4 million is no mean feat and Square Enix will most likely be proud of this accomplishment.

With over 75% of the game’s sales being in one region alone may mean Square Enix may restrict the Nintendo Switch and 3DS releases, though this is speculation, but would be pretty disappointing.
