Fortnite‘s Cube Monsters are sticking around a little longer in a brand new limited time mode for Battle Royale.
During Fortnite‘s Fortnitemares Halloween event, Epic Games, for the first time, introduced AI enemies into Battle Royale. These Cube Monsters spawned around monoliths which players could destroy and in turn earn some high-value loot in the process.
Now Halloween is over and the Fortnitemares event came to an epic conclusion, Cube Monsters can no longer be found in the main Fortnite Battle Royale modes. But never fear, they’re sticking around a little longer in a brand new Team Terror limited time mode.
This LTM will see two squads of 32 players face-off in typical Battle Royale fashion, except they’ll also have to fight through an onslaught of Cube Monsters. So expect plenty of risks and rewards popping off some of the Cube Monsters in order to grab some decent loot before the enemy.
Team Terror comes as part of the game’s latest v6.22 patch which introduces a brand new heavy assault rifle and a bunch of brand new skins as part of a partnership with the NHL. So if you want to sport your favorite NFL team while grabbing a Victory Royale, you can.
Also in the patch notes is the announcement of Fortnitemares Part 2 for Fortnite‘s Save the World campaign which introduces two new Heroes and the Candy Corn LMG!
