The serene narrative experience, Gris, from Devolver Digital and Nomada Studios has received a release date. Gris will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC on December 13, 2018, and will cost £13.49.
Gris is a traumatized young girl, but one full of hope, that is trying to deal with a recent painful experience in her life. Her journey through her own sorrow-filled world is brought to life in her dress. As she explores the fading reality around her, the dress grants her new abilities allowing her new ways to explore. As you progress her through the story, she will begin to view the world around her in a new way; growing emotionally, and through this growth new paths will be opened for her to explore.
Players will be able to explore this gorgeous hand-painted world, complete with detailed animations and a beautiful original score, free from danger, death, and frustration. Light puzzles, platforming sequences, and (optional) skill-based challenges will be revealed as Gris grows, emotionally, making more of the world accessible to you.
Nomada Studios is based out of Barcelona and houses not only experienced developers, but artists with backgrounds in illustration, painting, and graphic design. Gris is Nomada Studio’s flagship title and features art from Conrad Roset and music from Berlinist.
