Hitman 2, the 7th edition to the stealth assassination franchise and sequel to the 2016 episodic Hitman title is scheduled for release on the 13th November 2018, but it looks like two additional games in the franchise might hit current-gen consoles before the year is up.
Over the past few days, news on the franchise has been increasing due to the discovery of two official ratings from the Pan European Game Information Board (PEGI) for both Hitman: Absolution and Hitman: Blood Money. The ratings, which were placed on September 25thof this year, seem to suggest that these titles might soon be coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
It’s still probably best to wait for official news from IO Interactive before getting your hopes up, as this is by no means a concrete announcement of either a remaster or a port for current generation consoles, however, the fact that the leak comes via the official PEGI board is certainly worthy of interest.
Hitman: Blood Money was released all the way back in 2006 and is widely regarded as the best game of the franchise with a Metacritic rating of 82, whilst 2012’s Absolution did less favorably, weighing in at a high 70’s to low 80’s dependent on the platform.

If you can’t wait to play these titles, however, it is worth noting that both games are already available to play on Xbox One via its backwards compatibility programme.
