Netflix and Warner Bros. have settled the lawsuit brought onto them earlier this month from The Satanic Temple over the use of the Baphomet statue in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Following the launch of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix, The Satanic Temple decided to sue Netflix and Warner Bros. due to the Baphomet statue found in the show being eerily similar to that in The Satanic Temple itself.
The temple sought a $150 million settlement from the streaming giant, however, it seems the two have come to a mutual settlement. Now, The Satanic Temple has received credits in the episodes that have already been filmed in which the statue features. The remains of the settlement are under a confidentiality agreement.
We’re unsure whether the statue will continue to be featured in the show in the upcoming second season, though if being credited is acceptable enough, then I don’t see why not. Either way, the silliest TV lawsuit has now come to an end… for now.
