Even though we’ve only just moved out of Halloween, that didn’t stop Capcom from announcing a wickedly good treat for Resident Evil 2 in that we’ll be able to unlock Leon and Claire’s classic costumes for FREE!

Now, we all know that Capcom does have other editions of Resident Evil 2 along the way, including a Deluxe Edition which includes 5 character skins, retro soundtrack, and an Albert model Samurai Edge! This edition will set you back £52.99.

The Collectors Edition, however, includes a 12” Leon figure, Raccoon Police Station posters/blueprints, a box of replica police station keys, an art book, Soundtrack CD and pin badge. Along with the deluxe codes in there too, setting you back a hefty £230.00 price tag… I actually need to eat to survive so for all you Resident Evil super fans out there, this one is for you!

Still, at least Capcom will treat us all to some free unlockables amongst all this. It comes as welcoming news to fans as the company has recently been under the watchful eyes of the gaming community for keeping characters and content behind already on disc paywalls.

Though if the trailer and gameplay are anything to go by since the announcement then I congratulate Capcom on building what looks like a very impressive classic from the ground up so fans of the past and new to the series can look forward to an immense horror nostalgic experience we’ve been dying to play for some time now.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25, 2019. Fans of the franchise beware, you’re in for a scare.
