Ubisoft has detailed the next free update for The Crew 2 which is set to bring Demolition Derby racing to the game along with a few other little additions.
Available on December 5, players of The Crew 2 will be able to experience another racing discipline in the game, one that’s a little rough around the edges. Yep, Demolition Derby is the latest discipline that’ll have players smashing and crashing their way to victory in an attempt to claim a top-three spot but also not wrecking themselves in the process.
Demolition Derby will come with two new arenas; The Bonneville Salt Flat where players will not only be smashing each other but also risk being hit by a spring-loaded boxing glove, a falling elevator, and more. The second is the Tuscon Aircraft Cemetary where players will be racing and smashing their opponents off the tracks, among other things.
In addition to the tracks, four new demolition derby cars will be included in the update which, for the first time, will be completely destructible whether in free mode or any other race event.
Of course, this new discipline comes with The Crew 2‘s highly anticipated PvP mode where players can compete against each other in a variety of different disciplines from Street Racing to Motocross. This will also feature a variety of events which are constantly updated throughout the US map. PvP leagues will also be available for players to take part and earn high stakes rewards.
The Demolition Derby update will also feature more contents including Drift, Alpha Grand Prix, and Rally Cross challenges. Finally, the Audi RS3 LMS – 2017 and the Aeroboat – VS12 – 2018 are now available for players to access as part of the monthly vehicle drop.
In our review of The Crew 2 we wrote “The Crew 2 has a bit of a crisis when it comes to the teams focus. There’s a lot of nice new content here, but it still maintains elements people loathed about the previous title, and really fails to utilise the expansive world Ivory Tower have so lovingly created.”
