After months of speculation, we finally know what month Game of Thrones will return, April 2019.
While this isn’t much of a surprise, considering multiple actors from the show have hinted or flat out said this is when we could expect to see our favorite show return, looking at you Masie Williams, it’s at least comforting to know its a sure thing now.
In the newest trailer (below) HBO confirms that Game of Thrones will, in fact, return in the first half of 2019. The best part of all this Game of Thrones hype is that we have literally not been given a single shred of new footage to mull over yet, aside from the Entertainment Weekly cover photo, but I’m not really counting that. Yet here we are, watching this new trailer recant us with events that have led up to this apocalyptic final season and they hype is still as high as ever. Well played HBO, well played.
All we can do is wait at this point. Thankfully the year without Game of Thrones is almost over, and beyond that, there are mere months between us and the climactic final season. Be sure to check out the trailer below, and to check back with us as (hopefully) more Game of Thrones news releases!
Just because Game of Thrones is ending doesn’t mean we need to leave Westeros however. The prequel series, titles the Long Night, has been greenlit and has already cast a few lead roles!
The new spin-off series will take place a whopping 8,000 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will focus on the first coming (and creation) of the White Walkers! Let the hype continue.
