Are you ready to swing into action? No… I’m not talking about Spider-Man, I’m talking about Psytec Games’ upcoming sequel to their 2016 title Windlands — the rather simply named Windlands 2… imagine that originality.
This next installment of this fast-paced first-person exploration franchise was initially coming to both the HTC Vive and Playstation RV in 2019; but Psytec has flipped the script in announcing that the title will be coming to steam by the end of the week — November 16, in fact. That’s just days away! We can’t help but wonder how they managed that considerable leap, and hope that nothing has suffered because of it.
The steam edition itself will feature support for not only the HTC Vive, but the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality headsets also… come on PlayStation, keep up! Unlike the franchise’s first title, players of Windlands 2 will be able to take their grappling hook shenanigans to new heights with a four-player co-op mode. Not only that but now with added with titan clashing combat.
As if the ability to swing around in VR wasn’t enough of a draw, Psytec has decked out their new release’s expansive playgrounds with a whole host of extras to keep you hooked, including; skill-based speed running races, collectible challenges, in-game goodies like easter eggs and collectibles, and achievement based unlockables. So keep an eye out for Windlands 2 coming to Steam on November 16.
