Hello Games, the developer behind No Man’s Sky has announced a brand new title, The Last Campfire.
This announcement was one of the few announcements at The Game Awards 2018 which was a little overlooked, but the announcement came with a two-minute trailer giving us a glimpse as to what’s in store for Hello Games in the near future.
The Last Campfire is, what Hello Games are calling a “Hello Games Short” and is a much smaller game which Hello’s Sean Murray says is “a way to foster creativity and new voices in the studio.”
According to the game’s description, The Last Campfire is an adventure which tells the story of a lost Ember trapped in a “puzzling place” as they search for a way home. It sounds a lot less ambitious compared to No Man’s Sky, but maybe that’s what Hello Games needs after they’ve given that game some very much needed TLC.

There’s currently no release date for The Last Campfire, but a Steam Store page is available for players to add to their wishlist.
