It’s being reported that SEGA may be preparing to release a mini-version of its Dreamcast console. At least, we hope they are.
Hot on the heels of the launch of the PlayStation Classic, SEGA Japan has started asking fans to choose their favorite Dreamcast variation from a series of various colored consoles. This has caused many to speculate that the company could be preparing to launch a Dreamcast Mini.
Sega Japan suddenly asking people to pick their favourite Dreamcast variation from the following.
Dreamcast mini confirmed!!? https://t.co/1BLHzB4J9b

The Tweet simply reminds fans that the console was released 20 years ago (in Japan) with several different colorways during its run. The Tweet then links to a site where fans can vote on their favorite variation, which includes the original grey/offwhite color that the console came in. There is, of course, no mention of a mini version anywhere.
Interestingly, however, the voting page appears to be something called the Love SEGA voting section, which according to a rough Google translate is “a user participation type planning section” and “the user’s opinion will be reflected”. So perhaps a Dreamast Mini really is on the cards?
