The Resident Evil 2 remake file size has been announced. The highly coveted remaster of Capcoms 1998 masterpiece will take up a humble 21GB.
This fits in with Capcoms ability to create suspenseful, horror masterpieces whilst maintaining efficiency. Their previous release, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, was itself just over 20GB on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The small file size is another worthy note of praise that Resident Evil 2 is receiving. Not only are we getting a more refined version of the title in terms of graphics and gameplay controls, but we are also getting a more detailed version of the story. The development team at Capcom have set out to flesh out the tale we know and to explore through the pandemonium.
It will have been 21 years since the original release of Resident Evil 2 by the time the remake becomes available. Wait… 21GB….21 years. Hold on.
If you take all the letters of Umbrella, give them a number value i.e. a=1 b=2 etc. Umbrella adds up to 84, divide by the number of letters in the word (8) you get 10.5, then multiply that by the number in the game’s title (2) THEN YOU HAVE 21! IT’S A CONSPIRACY! IT’S HAPPENING!
Ed. Note: Callum has since transcended into a maddening fit of insanity. We’re currently getting him the help that he seeks.
