Warframe released for the Nintendo Switch on the 20 November 2018, since it’s debut almost 3 weeks ago the game has already been downloaded 1 million times to Switch consoles.
The third person action free-to-play shooter has already amassed over 40 million players ranging from it’s inception on the PC to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and now the Switch! In my personal opinion, I actually thought it was a really intriguing game being one of the first free-to-play, not to mention the first PS4 game I downloaded in 2013, that had so much depth to it and obviously the co-op was a big appeal at that time due to no co-operative games currently out back then.
Seeing how this free-to-play game has now evolved into a giant open world with over hundreds of weapons to forge, unique characters to play with, story-driven content and much more, it really is a game for other companies to take note of how to do suitable business practices and what happens when you put in the work and please your fans… looking at you Fallout 76!
There are no loot boxes and no catches when you buy using platinum (a source of real money currency) and you always know exactly what you’re paying for. They treat their consumers well, always bring in major updates to shape the game and most importantly, listen and act on feedback. I hope it continues to grow and become a very successful game for them in years and years to come.
Warframe is out to download for free on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch & PC now!
