Treyarch has announced a week-long free trial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s battle royale mode, Blackout, across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
The Blackout free trial begins tomorrow (January 17) and will last until January 24 across all platforms. It’ll give a chance for players to dive into the world of Blackout and try what could be considered one of the more polished Battle Royale games out there.

Much like other battle royale games, Blackout has 100 players duke it out to be last alive all whilst avoiding being caught in a “collapse” which gradually gets smaller and smaller. The game’s map features famous Black Ops landmarks such as Nuketown, Firing Range, and Hijacked.
In our review, we wrote “With no story mode, Treyarch had a challenge to keep players interested in their multiplayer offerings, and I think they’ve done it. Other than zombies mode. Sure the core zombies gameplay is there, but it’s just not… right.”
