Disney+ have long been making their plans for a giant streaming service involving all franchises that Disney own ranging from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars to name a few. It looks like they’ll definitely be taking full advantage of their franchises as they branch out into new worlds and territories full of new stories only made for their upcoming 2019 streaming service in the Star Wars and Marvel Universes.

Though Marvel head Kevin Feige in particular seems to be taking this as a huge advantage for themselves and whilst we know that characters such as Loki, Scarlett Witch, Vision, Falcon and Bucky Barnes are already in the works, the head director at Marvel has stated in a recent podcast to Variety that he’ll be taking full advantage of the Disney+ platform, here is what he stated:

“Disney+ is, yes. Which is another exciting avenue and another exciting thing about being at this place at this time and goes back to the amount of characters we have and the amount of stories we could tell.”

Although he has previously mentioned that you can only have an allocated amount of film slots in a year to tell certain stories, fans always wanted to know how to include the other aspects or minor parts of the universe and give them the attention they truly deserved, Disney+ is Kevin Feige’s answer to fans:

“When we announced ten movies and people asked ‘Well what about these other things?’ the previous stance would be ‘We only have a certain number of slots to make movies per year.’ That’s still true but we now have another outlet that I think will be very unique and very special.”

I can only imagine the numerous TV shows heading our way… every character whether known by the masses or not will be getting their own show at this point. I hope they don’t over do it and fully saturate the market, instead focus on intertwining these TV shows with the films and make it worth it, don’t focus on the random aspects and have something there just because some fans say ‘it should be there’ or have any sort of politically correct meaning that then ruins the character.

There is a time and a place for everything so I implore that they take their time with the projects, although knowing Marvel are always on the ball with everything they do they give me very little doubt in them overall.

The Disney+ streaming service will launch in late 2019, Marvel are ready for it, are you?
