Bandai Namco is teasing some news for the Dragon Ball video game franchise including a second season for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
At the Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ producers discussed the future of the game. During the stream, producer Tomoko Hiroki said: “Yes, I really want to say it, but please it until the FighterZ finals.”
She also expanded on some of the improvements they’re working on with plans to bring some changes to the game’s battle system following the FighterZ finals at the end of the month. More details are expected to come at this time.
This is likely some welcome news as Dragon Ball FighterZ has seen the last of its first season of content, so some changes to the battle system and some new characters in the game would be fantastic.
If that wasn’t all, however, producer Masayuki Hirano teased some “big news” is coming for the Dragon Ball series.
“We said that new information on FighterZ would be coming during the Finals. But we’re also planning to release other big news. We hope everyone will look forward to that,” said Hirano. Adding, “Of course we’ll continue to support Super Dragon Ball Heroes while also doing the same for Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ but this new information is something different. We’re hoping to bring information that would please Dragon Ball as a whole. We hope you will look forward to that.”
Hirano hinted that this news will be teased in the upcoming issue of V Jump in Japan.
The Dragon Ball FigherZ Final is set to take place later this month so stay tuned for any information to come out of the event.
