Elgato has announced a handful of new product at CES 2019 which have streamers in mind including a light you can control with your mobile and new software to make mobile streaming easier.
First up, Elgato has announced the Elgato Key Light which is basically a bright LED light which streamers can attach to their desks to make sure their lighting is optimal. This, of course, allows for its position to be placed perfectly behind monitors without taking up too much room.
The Key Light can also sync wirelessly to PCs, mobile, and Elgato’s own Stream Deck for easy control without fumbling about with cables. Players can use these apps to control brightness and even the color of the LEDs.
As well as the Key Light, Elgato announced a new piece of software called the Elgato Screen Link. This software essentially allows players’ smartphones, specifically iPhones or iPads to appear as an input source for OBS Studio, Streamlabs, XSplit, and Game Capture.
Screen Link can be trialed right now for 15 minutes with a max bitrate of 16Mbps. A Pro version is also coming soon which will offer unlimited streams and 32 Mbps bitrate. The Pro Version will cost $10.
This is just the latest in a line of products from Elgato to aid video game streaming, and it’s pretty impressive.
