It wasn't great but people went over the top

As Sony announces plans for an upcoming sequel to the original Ghostbusters 1 and 2 films, SNL cast member Leslie Jones has hit out at this sudden change of plan by Sony.

She shared a frustrated response from her Twitter account across to her many fans to let them know that she was NOT happy at all about the change after starring in 2016’s Ghostbusters Reboot film alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and director Paul Feig.

Sony has now opted to follow on from the original footsteps of the first films and have an all-male cast to the sequel as opposed to the all-female cast in the 2016 reboot, a decision that was not taken lightly by previous Ghostbusters reboot star Leslie Jones, here’s what she had to say:

“So insulting. Like fuck us. We dint count. It’s like something Trump would do.” She then further proceeded to impersonate President Trump in a mockery fuelled rage. She was then in turn mocked by trolls online for her outburst and responded by saying how sad and disappointed she thought their response to her opinion was on the situation and just felt like it was going back to ‘boys are better’ and how we were moving back rather than forward.

Director of the Ghostbusters 2016 reboot, Paul Feig, jumped in to defend his co-worker and commented that he supported Leslie and is open to seeing the new Ghostbusters but saddened that he and his team will not be busting any ghosts any time soon.

Jason Reitman will direct the sequel to the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 movies titled currently at “Ghostbusters 3,” with original cast member Dan Akroyd hinting that he may be involved, much to many fans delight! Take a look at the new teaser for the sequel below:
