Today, 4A Games and Deep Silver revealed the latest trailer for their upcoming title, Metro Exodus.
The story trailer shows off a bunch of new locations and characters, including Artyom’s merry band of Spartans! The trailer showcases locales like Russia’s post-apocalyptic Moscow and the sands of the Caspian desert.
Anna is the trailer’s narrator, Artyom’s wife, and the Spartan’s best sniper. We are shown how this newest installment will explore the world of the Metro series in extremely detailed ways as the crew of the Aurora fights to find life beyond Moscow. Artyom always thought that was possible, and now, on this year-long journey, we will finally get to see if his beliefs were true!
Metro Exodus features an original score from the series main composer, Alexey Omelchuk. This story trailer is apparently the first in a line of upcoming gameplay reveals building up to the game’s release on February 15, 2019.
The end of the trailer also includes Deep Silver and Microsoft’s announcement of their “Xbox One X Metro Saga Bundle”, which comes with a 1TB Xbox One X console AND the entire Metro trilogy!! Pre-orders are now available, and this is the best way for newcomers to the series to experience this incredible franchise.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL *said in the best salesmen voice*
As you saw from the trailer, Metro Exodus looks absolutely breathtaking, and what would a beautiful game like that be without a photo mode to show off all of its gorgeous new locations? Apparently, Metro Exodus will be released with a full photo mode available for players. Developer 4A recently sent out this Tweet…
Calling all video game photographers – you can document your journey in #MetroExodus from day one with Photo Mode!
— Metro Exodus (@MetroVideoGame) January 7, 2019
While Photo mode will be available across all platforms, PC players will get the added benefits of having Nvidia’s Ansel screen capture technology. Ansel dropped back in 2016 with a bunch of features like “super resolutions”, post processing filters, and 360-degree abilities, not to mention the mega-update that dropped this past summer, the Ansel RTX.
Clearly, PC players will be able to make the most of this mode, but that doesn’t mean Xbox and PS4 players still won’t enjoy showcasing the beautiful settings Metro Exodus has to offer!
Metro Exodus drops February 15, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC!
