NetherRealm Studios Co-Creator/Creative Director Ed Boon has revealed the box art for Mortal Kombat 11 over on Twitter.
Amongst a very radiant and vibrant yellow background, we see Scorpion flying forward in all his fiery, spear-wielding glory bringing the full fury of the hellfire with him, singeing the eyes of viewers and making for a very prominent and bold front cover.
He announced the reveal by stating: “Happy to share with everyone the official cover art for Mortal Kombat 11 here!”

This comes hot on the heels of a special reveal event taking place in L.A. and London next week on January 17 where NetherRealm Studios will be showing off the first glimpse of gameplay, character reveals, story and hands-on opportunity for anyone lucky enough to be in attendance! Take a look at the cinematic reveal from The Game Awards 2018 here.
Recent rumours and email leaks have stated that Ronda Rousey will be the new voice of Sonya Blade, a new gore tech system will be showed off at the event, X-Rays to possibly be replaced by Supers, a new system in the fight called ‘Krushing Blows’ and rumoured character trailer reveals for new fighters called Kronika and Geras. This is all currently rumored, so take it all with a pinch of salt.
Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled for release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch & PC on April 23, 2019.
