NetherRealm Studios have finally revealed the official gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 at its special reveal event taking place yesterday in Los Angeles and London last night, as well as being fully streamable on their NetherRealm Twitch account.
During the Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event, the livestream kicked off with an official gameplay trailer showcasing a series of multiple fights between the seven contestants on show, revealing for the first time previous fan favourite characters returning to the series such as Baraka, Skarlet, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero who now join the already announced line-up of Raiden, Scorpion and pre-order bonus fighter Shao Kahn.
In the trailer we see the revealed fighters going through a mash-up of various special moves, fatalities, intense cinematic gore close-ups, crushing X-Ray moves and small story moments that really set the tone of the next game and show off it’s beautifully rendered character models and stage graphics due to the use of Unreal Engine 4.

The trailer looks incredible, the character models so realistic, fluid fighting and lots and lots of gore! Just what we all wanted from the next Mortal Kombat game in the series and the developers didn’t hold back, nor did they disappoint.
I can’t wait to see what the story of this next one holds and how much time bending will influence the two timelines. I’m officially ready to get back into the tournament and rip out my opponent’s spine with my bare, icy hands!
Mortal Kombat 11 will release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch & PC on April 23, 2019.
