Creative Assembly has confirmed that it is indeed working on a new first-person shooter following job openings posted on their website causing a stir.
Back in June last year, Creative Assembly posted a job opening for a “tactical shooter” which caused many people to wonder whether a new Alien Isolation game was in the works. Since then, the developer has remained pretty quiet, until this week when they confirmed the news on Twitter.

The interesting part of this tweet is that Neill Blomkamp seems to be involved with this FPS. Blomkamp, for those who don’t know, is the director behind movies such as District 9 and Chappie, among others. He was also working on an Alien script before the movie got shelved which he previously admitted was inspired by Alien: Isolation’s aesthetics.
If Blomkamp is involved, it would suggest that Creative Assembly’s upcoming shooter may have something to do with his penchant for alien worlds and could be a totally new otherworldly shooter. Or my other idea is that this could be Chappie The Video Game, which I’d absolutely LOVE. Though this is unlikely.
Or not. Please let it be a Chappie game.
