Games For Change, an organization which celebrates real-world change made with video games and technology, has added two more award category to its annual award lineup.
One category that has been added is Best XR For Change, which “recognizes the most engaging augmented, virtual, or mixed reality experiences that leverage emerging media to achieve social impact goals.” The second category is Best Student Game, which “recognizes social-impact games created by college-level students that demonstrate innovative and unique design, compelling and polished gameplay, and an overall artistic vision that successfully integrates social impact objectives that have real-world impact.”
Games For Change’s recurring award categories are Most Innovative, Best Gameplay, Best Learning Game, Most Significant Impact, and the Game of the Year. You can get more information on each of these categories at Games For Change‘s award page. And if you think you have something that fits the bill, you are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is February 15.
The 2019 Games For Change Festival will take place from June 17 through 19 at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, New York City.
