Digital Cybercherries has announced that they’ll finally be launching the Early Access 2.0 version of their action figure shooter, HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed, later this month.
After what seems like forever, we finally have some idea when we’ll be seeing the next-generation version of HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed which will see the game get some big changes. This includes a new UI, new HUD, new mechanics, modes, enemies, maps, and more.
For those that have been following the developer’s regular updates on IndieDB, they’ll know what’s in store. Early Access 2.0 is set to see the arrival of Zombies, the T.Rex as well as Ponies who may or may not be related to My Little Pony.
Character customization is also getting overhauled which will see players unlocking more customization options as they earn XP. The developer has assured that there’ll be no loot boxes or microtransactions, which is good to hear.
Some footage of the update has also been released which you can see via the game’s IndieDB page.
We previously spoke with Digital Cybercherries’ Co-founder & managing partner Ulrich Gollick and Lead Programmer Dec Doyle on our Podcast. Here we discussed the development and idea process and whether we’ll ever see characters from Small Soldiers coming into the game.
HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed Early Access 2.0 is set to launch on February 22.
