NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed that fan-favorite Jade will be joining Mortal Kombat 11’s deadly roster, coming hot on the heels after last week’s Kabal and D’Vorah reveal.
In the build-up to this reveal a series of different colored blocks featuring Jade’s signature green started to appear on the Mortal Kombat 11 Twitter account. This lead to many fans speculating that we would indeed be seeing the old school veteran return to the fight. As you’d expect, the official reveal trailer was launched to much fan applause from the community and re-tweeted on the official MK11 Twitter account. Creative director/developer Ed Boon also decided to bluntly state the obvious on his page.

Jade comes equipped with her iconic Bo Staff and razor sharp flying discs to keep her opponent at bay, she’s a complete zoner and knows how to hold her own on the battlefield at a medium range. According to Jade’s official description we now know that Jade is indeed an undead revenant and most likely serving once again as Kitana’s faithful bodyguard… this time in death, you can’t say she’s not a loyal follower!
Many fans had wondered since the events of MK9, and the death of a lot of fan favorites at the hands of Sindel, what exactly had happened to Jade since the culling as she was nowhere to be seen in the follow-up game Mortal Kombat X.
