Ah, Pokémon Day, that special day that marks another successful year for one of the most successful franchises on the planet. As always, Nintendo NY has some special events lined up for fans in the area over the course of not one, but five special days!
First of all, the special events will run with some variation from Wednesday, February 27 through Sunday, March 3. Some events will run every day–such as appearances (and presumably photo ops) with Pikachu and Eevee and Q & A sessions with Nintendo Treehouse. Please note that all times listed below are Eastern standard time.
Visitors on Wednesday can look forward to things kicking off at 3 PM with face painting. A “Trade ‘n’ Play card activity” begins at 4 PM, and the Q & A starts at 5 PM. All events end at 6 PM to make way for the Eevee and Pikachu appearances, which will last until the store closes, at 8 PM.
Thursday will see only a Q & A and the Pokémon appearances, the former running from 6-7 PM and the latter running from 6-8 PM. Friday is also a lighter day, with another Trade ‘n’ Play card activity running from 4-5 PM, followed immediately by another Q&A session which will end at 6 PM, to make way for another evening of appearances until the store closes at 8 PM.

Saturday and Sunday kick things off much earlier, and share the same schedule. Things begin on both days at 11 PM with more card activities and face painting. However, the card activities end after an hour and on these days, the face painting will last until 2 PM. Running over these events are more Pikachu and Eevee appearances from 12-2 PM, and things will wrap up with Nintendo Treehouse Q & A sessions from 2-3 PM.
As always with Nintendo NY, it’s probably safe to bet there will be store-exclusive merchandise and even freebies available during these events, as well as a sale here and there. Of course, being at Nintendo NY, it’s also safe to assume that these events will be pretty heavily attended, even the portions that may be intended for younger children. As always, we recommend comfy shoes and clothes in case of long lines!
And for those of you who can’t make it to Nintendo NY, you don’t have to miss out on all of the Pokémon Day fun! You can check out other fun Pokémon Day stuff on the Pokémon website.
