Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for their upcoming movie, Detective Pikachu, but not before Ryan Reynolds took things into his own hands.
Does high art come at a high cost? Yes says Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, officially the world’s most funny and beautiful couple, not appearing together in celluloid form since 2011’s Green Lantern.
Returning exclusively to YouTube screens around the world, to candidly discuss the real impact and drawbacks to living with a genre-straddling talent as vast and untameable as Mr. Reynold’s. One can tell this is an earnest and dramatic interview as the star of Ryan is wearing glasses in much of the video that also features black and white photography, the most artistic and sophisticated of all photography.
Along with Ryan Reynold’s 100% non-piss taking behind the scenes video, a brand new trailer has been released, once again showcasing more unseen realistic Pokémon and banter between Justice Smith’s Tim Goodman and the chattiest Pikachu in Ryme City.
So far both trailers have done an excellent job cementing how close this Pokémon: Detective Pikachu film is sticking to the source material. This time giving us hilarious glimpses at, my new favorite pokémon, Ludicolo serving behind the bar as a barista at the Hi-Hat Café, as well as brief looks at a couple of the more intimidating pocket monsters including slimy, sub-boss Greninjas and a grizzled, bare-knuckle Charizard. While cracks may be appearing in the Lively-Reynolds household, it seems as though it may have all been worth it in the end with the best live-action Nintendo film yet.
