In a recent interview with ESPN sports, Tekken 7 director Harada-san has stated that he would be open to doing a Season 3 pass “if possible”.
Tekken 7 launched in 2017 to solid reviews from critics but it has only expanded itself and grown furthermore with the fans leading into 2019 with 2 season passes attached, being a stand-out hit in the arcades and further packaged releases of the game in the form of Fated Retribution.
“We would like to continue,” Harada states. “Excitement around the game continues to build, it’s not like we don’t have a plan. We would like to consider a variety of possibilities.” Nothing’s set in stone but it does seem as though Tekken 7 is here to stay.”
Although this doesn’t necessarily mean we are getting a new season pass, it certainly does seem like it’s likely as the game continues to be well received from the fan community. I’m sure Namco Bandai have already started plans for Tekken 8 whilst finding new ways and ideas to keep the ball rolling for this latest release.
