Following the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, you’d think Square Enix’s long-awaited sequel would be dominating the charts for a long time coming, but alas, after just one week Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 is back on top.
What’s interesting is that jumps like this are usually attributed to retailer sales, however, it seems Rockstar’s Wild West romp has just seen a slight bump in sales (14%). Last week’s number one, Kingdom Hearts 3, has actually seen a pretty big dip in sales at 87% which is pretty high, causing it to drop into third place.
FIFA 19 jumps into second place with a 6% rise in sales.
Resident Evil 2 is another that seems a decline with a 67% fall putting it in fourth place. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 remains in fifth place, followed by New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe in sixth, and Maro Kart 8 Deluxe in seventh.
This ends a pretty uneventful week with Spyro Reignited Trilogy climbing to eighth place, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate falling to ninth place, and finally, GTA 5 falling to tenth place
This week we’ll be seeing a number of new titles launching with Crackdown 3, Metro Exodus, and Far Cry New Dawn, so hopefully next week’s charts are a little more interesting.
