The release date for Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch may have been leaked according to one publication.

The Loot Gaming has apparently heard from not one but two sources who claim that Animal Crossing will be launching in September 2019. Now, before brushing this aside, it’s worth noting this same publication predicted the reveal of the Nintendo Labo VR kit. So it has some possible credibility regarding Nintendo titles.

That being said, this is only a release month, which given that we’re not too far away from the usual summer gaming drought, it makes sense that Nintendo would save the title for around the holidays.

The publication does go on to add that Animal Crossing will be the big focus of Nintendo’s E3 presentation, which again isn’t too surprising as many, many people are looking forward to this title.

Officially, Animal Crossing for the Switch has a release window of 2019 and we’re actually yet to get the full name of the title. Chances are, we’ll get a full unveiling at E3 along with the release date.

While September is a good shout, I’d still take that info with a pinch of salt.
