Legendary comics have announced that Pokémon’s Detective Pikachu will have a graphic novel adaption that will be released this summer.
Alongside the first ever live adaption of the live action Pokemon movie coming out on 10 May this year, Legendary comics announced at the Emerald City Comic Con announced the official Detective Pikachu comic.
The full-length graphic novel will be an adaption of the Detective Pikachu movie rather than a prequel or a sequel to it. The story will follow Tim Goodman who journeys through Ryme City searching for his missing father. Ryme City is a place where humans and Pokémon live together in harmony, and more surprisingly, a talking Pikachu. At least Pikachu in the comics doesn’t look quite as fluffy as the live screen adaption!
