EA is set to follow in Sony’s footsteps, by not hosting a press conference at this year’s E3.
EA has announced that it will be skipping an E3 press conference this year, instead choosing to focus on EA Play. “This year you’ll see less talk and more play, with an event entirely focused on the heartbeat of EA PLAY: our player communities and the games they love.” the statement reads.
The statement continues, “We’re skipping the press conference this year and are replacing it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event, bringing you more of what you’ve told us you want – more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games.”
It seems that we’ll still be getting some announcements through these streams, most likely coming from the yearly sports titles and the games that are rumored to be announced, notably a new Need For Speed title, after the relative success of Need for Speed: Payback. Oh, and they’ll probably talk about saving Anthem and bragging about Apex Legends.
