For those of you who are still clinging hard to your CRT TVs you might want to look away, as for the first time in six years, Super Smash Bros. Melee won’t be on the main stage at EVO 2019.
Of course, this decision wasn’t made lightly, and to honor the game that’s been a staple title at fighting tournaments for almost 20 years, the organizers released a little thank you video in memory of the fighting game:

As for the title’s that will be on the main stage, Smash Bros. Ultimate, of course, takes the Smash crown and Mortal Kombat 11 will also be making an appearance. Here’s the full lineup:

EVO 2019 is set to take place during August 2 through to August 4 and will be live streamed over on the EVO Twitch channel.
