Crytek has finally announced that Hunt: Showdown will finally drop on Xbox One this spring! The new IP will drop as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Preview program. The program is focused on work-in-progress titles, much like Steam’s Early Access.
Speaking of Steam, Hunt: Showdown initially launched in Early Access around February 2018, and has since received high praise from participating players.
Hunt: Showdown is a PvPvE, first-person bounty hunting game, that throws up to 10 players on a map and forces them to take on, not only each other but fearsome creatures as well. Deep within the swamps of Louisiana players must fight zombies, bounty hunters, and grotesque arachnids (just to name a few) in hopes of becoming the last surviving member (or team).
Crytek has been slowly trying to rebuild itself in the wake of financial woes and layoffs. With next-gen talks ramping up, could we possibly see the return of Crysis?!
