According to The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo is readying not one but two new Nintendo Switch variants, one that’ll be a little more basic, and another more advanced.
Set to be announced during E3 2019, two new Nintendo Switch consoles will be targeting two different audiences. The first, one which is a cheaper variant, will mostly omit the “HD Rumble” vibration features and is supposed to be more of a successor to the 3DS.
This lines up with another rumor where Nintendo was planning a Switch without removable JoyCons.
As for the other variant, according to the report it’s set to feature “enhanced features targeted at avid video gamers,” which suggests it’ll see a slight boost in performance. Unfortunately, details on how it’ll be improved are still under wraps.
I guess we’ll find out later this year at E3 2019.
