Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage), and SP//DR in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation's SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE.

With the recent success of Venom and Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony has decided to expand its Spider-man universe for the next 7 years. I mean there’s enough characters in the Spider-man world to keep them going for many more decades, let alone 7 years. Let’s just stick with the next 7 for now.

Venom was a box office smash making over $850 million total worldwide, and although Into the Spider-Verse didn’t quite make the same, it did manage to pull in the Best Animated Film at the Oscars. So you can certainly see why Sony are interested in making more films.

So what is on the horizon? Well, most of it is only rumored projects and only a handful have been confirmed. We know Venom 2 has been confirmed. With the mid-credits scene showing Woody Harrelson as Carnage, we can fully expect him to appear in this film. The other film that has been confirmed is Morbius which will be played by Jared Leto. With this, it has been mentioned that there will be multiple Into the Spider-Verse sequels as well.

What other Spider-man-themed flicks can we expect on top of all this? Everything else is just rumors. At one point a Silver & Black film was being developed based on the characters Silver Sable and Black Cat, but that was canceled last year with them preferring to do two separate movies for the pair of them. Other popular characters they might be doing films on are Kraven the Hunter, Nightwatch and even a Sinister 6 movie. None of which have been confirmed, but all of which Spider-Man fans will enjoy watching.
